Two of Morley Builders’ Santa Monica commercial projects were recently mentioned in the Los Angeles Business Journal.
Water Garden Transformation: In collaboration with developer Trammel Crow and HLW International architects, Morley is close to completing the Water Garden Transformation. Both interiors and exteriors of this large commercial campus have received a facelift. With over 1.2 million sf of office space in eight, 5-6 story buildings surrounded by 17 acres of outdoor water features and gardens, the Water Garden is expected to receive a LEED-EB Gold Recertification.
Pen Factory: Morley is also working closely with Clarion Partners, Lincoln Property Company and architect Skidmore Owings & Merrill on this upcoming multi-tenant creative workplace. Located at the cross streets of 26th Street and Olympic Blvd. adjacent to the Metro Expo Line, this adaptive reuse project will provide more than 200,000 sf of office space and subterranean parking for 270 bikes and 700 cars. Utilizing skylights and industrially-scaled curtain walls to utilize natural light, the project is targeting LEED Gold. Pen Factory is expected to be completed in the summer of 2017.
As the market continues to evolve, the Santa Monica commercial office market is expected to spur the economic growth on the westside.
